| 内容記述 | The problems of Quaternary System in Shikoku District, especially focusing on the marine middle terrace deposits in Kochi Prefecture are discussed. The transgression which deposited the marine middle terraces is called "the Paleo-Tosa Bay Transgression", and the height of the terraces is about 20 to 40m above sea level. Therefore, it is not necessary to assume such a height of over 100m above sea level as the Muroto (M) Plains reported by the other authors. And the changes of transgression-regression facies since late Pliocene in Kochi Prefecture are discussed. | |||||
